Introduction
We often think about, and extol the virtues of, physical activity and its' capacity to protect and improve people's mental health.
MIND have reflected this back to the sports sector. They recognise that sport, at an elite and competitive level, can bring with it pressures that impact negatively upon mental health. They also note that sports clubs and organisations present an environment where coaches, leaders, officials and friends may become aware of fractures appearing in a person's mental wellbeing.
To combat this they have produced a resource for clubs to help them ensure good practice and awareness in promoting and protecting positive mental health.
